I never make cottage, always shepherds, but may give that a go when the nights start drawing in.

In terms of cooking failures though I generally manage to fail in some way at least six times out of every ten, and nearer to nine out of ten if cooking for others.

I've cooked Fake Christmas dinner for six years now and every year there is something undercooked, something overcooked, something that's gone cold, and the whole dinner is at least three hours after it was supposed to be (normally more).

This year I narrowly avoided poisoning my best friends after undercooking the bird. Luckily, as we'd once again bought turkeyzilla the fully cooked breast meat fed everyone and I didn't realise the horrific extent of my error until everyone had left and I came to carve up the remaining beast for leftovers.

Overcooking is always better than undercooking, and next year I'm buying a meat thermometer!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-14152609280238161322010-07-01T08:56:44.526+01:002010-07-01T08:56:44.526+01:00That's not such a bad ballsup and hey, you pro...That's not such a bad ballsup and hey, you produced a beautiful looking cottage pie out of the leftovers.

I would give some of my fuck-up stories but there are too many....Food Urchinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02453819598450656718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-24027714865314515762010-06-30T11:43:51.067+01:002010-06-30T11:43:51.067+01:00Took me about eight goes before I could cook rice ...Took me about eight goes before I could cook rice in a rice cooker!

Great save.bronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09857317621097054742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-15732715715785367622010-06-30T11:15:27.247+01:002010-06-30T11:15:27.247+01:00I'll teach you how to make focaccia...come ove...I'll teach you how to make focaccia...come over.kerstinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11710623816362851677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-21719866743049913672010-06-30T10:44:46.017+01:002010-06-30T10:44:46.017+01:00Fillyerboots - Thanks.
