They stock a lot of Japanese stuff.

GC - I know, HEATHLY! Get me.

Su-Lin - I love a good noodle soup. I don't have them enough.

Tori - I was very hungover, actually....

Helen - really? G'wan!

Shayma - I much prefer salmon poached; far lighter.

Ed - I believe it's white miso. Red miso is a lot deeper and saltier in flavour.

Grubworm: I don't think they used chilli bean paste at Dinings, that was my own bastardisation.

Alex - The eel was good, and yes we blew a shit-load. Not entirely sure it was worth it.

Catty: nope. I'd like to say next time, but I don't think I'd go back.

Girls - thanks!Hollow Legshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07152329184111658897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-51471568380620514052011-05-19T19:00:02.408+01:002011-05-19T19:00:02.408+01:00This loooks fabulous and very healthy! xxxThis loooks fabulous and very healthy! xxxgirls who like to gorgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11851073082634902008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-22534622724070893422011-05-18T12:09:42.781+01:002011-05-18T12:09:42.781+01:00That looks like the perfect gloomy day / feeling s...That looks like the perfect gloomy day / feeling sick kinda meal. You're right that it doesn't sound like it should work, but as it does, it sounds wonderful.

It's funny, i never really think of fusion food incorporating dishes like this, a fusion of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. I always think of it in terms of East and West (or Europe and Asia). Still, I am not surprised that it is a Japanese restaurant that gets it right. The Grubwormhttp://www.thegrubworm.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4148635935379992641.post-80409150017584272772011-05-16T22:33:51.699+01:002011-05-16T22:33:51.699+01:00Loving this & will definitely try to recreate....Loving this & will definitely try to recreate.
